Hope In The Light of Suicide EP 225
September, Suicide Awareness Month
SHOW SYNOPSIS Welcome to HOPE In The Light Of Suicide.
I'm Tammy White, and I'm so glad you're here with me ...tonight.
There are certain times of the year when everything seems to come together—the memories, the emotions, the work, and the purpose behind why we continue.
And this is one of those times.
We are in the final days of preparation for Art for Hope, coming up September 10th. There are details to finish, artwork to prepare, sponsors and volunteers to thank, and a thousand little things that have to come together before we open those doors.
But as busy as these final days can be, I keep reminding myself of why we do this.
Because September is Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month.
It is a time to bring suicide out of the shadows. To talk about mental health. To recognize the warning signs. To remind someone who may be struggling that they are not alone—and that asking for help is an act of courage, not weakness.
And on September 8th, we recognize 988 Day—a day dedicated to raising awareness of the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline and making sure people know that help is available when they need someone to listen.
Sometimes hope doesn't look like a grand gesture.
Sometimes hope is a phone call.
Sometimes it's sitting beside someone and saying, "I'm here."
Sometimes it's asking, "How are you really doing?" and being willing to stay for the answer.
And sometimes hope is simply helping someone make it through one more difficult moment.
That is what Art for Hope represents to me.
It isn't just an art event. It is a gathering of people who believe that something good can grow from something incredibly painful.
For me, this journey began with losing Bobby. And while I can never change the circumstances of his death, I can choose what I do with the love that remains.
So, as we put the finishing touches on Art for Hope, I want to invite you to be part of something bigger than an event.
Be part of the conversation.
Be willing to check in.
Be willing to listen.
Be willing to learn.
And most importantly, be willing to bring a little more HOPE into the light.
Because someone you know may be struggling silently.
And your willingness to reach out could matter more than you'll ever know.
So tonight, let's talk about hope, connection, awareness—and the small things each of us can do to make a difference.
This is HOPE In The Light Of Suicide.
And I'm so glad you're here.

Milestones and Gratitude
SHOW SYNOPSIS Good evening, and welcome to another Saturday night of HOPE In The Light Of Suicide.
This week feels a little ...different for me because I'm coming to you after another milestone... another anniversary... another moment on this journey of life that I once imagined I would be sharing with Bobby.
And yet, here I am.
There are moments when anniversaries can make us look backward—at what we've lost, what we wish had been different, and the people who should still be sitting beside us.
But tonight, I want to look forward, too.
I want to begin this show with gratitude.
Gratitude for the friends who have stayed. For family who has loved me through all the different versions of grief. For the people who came into my life because of this journey—and for the new experiences, new friendships, new opportunities, and new reasons to keep showing up.
I'm learning that moving forward doesn't mean leaving someone behind.
Bobby will always be part of my story. He is part of the woman I have become, the work I continue to do, and the love that continues to find its way into my life.
But I am also discovering that there is still more life to live.
There are new memories to make. There are people I haven't met yet. There are places I haven't seen, conversations I haven't had, laughter I haven't shared—and yes, there are still difficult days.
Grief has changed me, but it has not taken away my capacity to love, to hope, to experience joy, or to be grateful.
So tonight, as I mark another milestone without Bobby, I'm choosing to honor both sides of this journey—the love and the loss, the memories and the new experiences, the tears and the gratitude.
And maybe that's what healing really looks like.
Not forgetting.
Not moving on.
But moving forward... carrying the love with us.
So, thank you for being here. Thank you for walking beside me, for listening, for sharing this space, and for reminding me that even in the darkest places, there can still be light.
This is HOPE In The Light Of Suicide.
And tonight, we're going to talk about what it means to keep living, keep loving, and keep finding reasons to be grateful.

Gratitude, Love & the Journey
SHOW SYNOPSIS Good evening, and welcome to HOPE In The Light Of Suicide.
Tonight's show is a little more personal ...for me because we are getting very close to Art for Hope, and I want to take a moment to say something that sometimes gets lost in all the planning, phone calls, emails, artwork, sponsors, and volunteers.
Thank you.
Thank you to every sponsor who has chosen to believe in this mission. Thank you to every volunteer who gives your time, your energy, and your heart to help make Art for Hope possible. And thank you to everyone who has supported me along this journey.
Because this Sunday, August 23rd, I will celebrate my 65th birthday.
And it is also a day that carries another meaning for me. August 23rd would have been Bobby's and my 34th wedding anniversary.
So, as you can imagine, birthdays and anniversaries have a way of bringing a lot of emotions with them.
There is gratitude. There is love. There is sadness. There are memories. And there is also a deep sense of purpose.
More than ten years ago, my life changed forever when Bobby died by suicide. I could never have imagined the journey that would follow. I certainly never imagined that one day I would be standing here, talking about suicide loss, grief, mental wellness, hope, and healing.
But somewhere along the way, I realized that I didn't have to walk this journey alone.
And because people reached out to me, listened to me, supported me, and helped me find my way through some very dark days, I want to do the same for someone else.
That is really what this work is about.
Letting people know they are not alone.
Letting someone who has lost a loved one to suicide know that there are others who understand the complicated grief that follows.
And reminding those who are struggling that their story isn't over.
I am incredibly grateful for every person we have been able to help—and for every person who has allowed us to walk beside them, even for just a little while.
As Art for Hope gets closer, I find myself thinking less about the event itself and more about what it represents.
It represents people coming together.
It represents hope.
It represents compassion.
And it represents what can happen when we decide that no one should have to navigate this journey alone.
So tonight, before we talk about anything else, I simply want to say thank you.
Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for believing in this mission. Thank you for believing that even after suicide loss, there can still be purpose, connection, healing—and hope.
And Bobby, wherever you are, I hope you know that I am still carrying our love forward.
So let's begin tonight's conversation.
And as always, remember:
You are not alone. There is hope. And sometimes, hope begins simply by knowing that someone is willing to walk beside you.

Work That Is Love Made Visible
SHOW SYNOPSIS Good evening, and welcome to HOPE In The Light of Suicide. I'm Tammy White, and I'm ...so grateful you've chosen to spend this time with us.
This week, we're continuing our journey through The Art and Science of Getting Happier by Arthur C. Brooks and Oprah Winfrey. One chapter especially resonated with me because it asks a simple but powerful question: What happens when our work is an expression of love?
There's a quote often attributed to Kahlil Gibran: "Work is love made visible." Those words have taken on a much deeper meaning in my life.
For more than three decades, I've had the privilege of custom framing artwork, family heirlooms, military memorabilia, and treasured memories. I've always believed that framing isn't just about preserving objects, it's about honoring the stories, people, and moments that matter most.
But after Bobby died by suicide, something changed.
For a long time, I lost not only my confidence, but also the passion I had always felt for my work. Grief has a way of making even the things we once loved feel distant. It can steal our energy, our creativity, and even our sense of identity.
Healing didn't happen overnight. It took time, patience, and a willingness to keep showing up—even on the days I didn't feel like myself. Little by little, my passion returned. Today, I can once again say that I truly love what I do.
Then something unexpected happened.
Out of unimaginable loss came a new purpose. The Bobby White Foundation was born, giving me another way to serve others. Through grief support, suicide prevention, and sharing hope, I discovered that while grief forever changes us, it can also reveal new ways to love, to serve, and to live.
Arthur Brooks reminds us that many of our struggles with happiness revolve around four career-related challenges: our career goals, our career path, addiction, and identity. These aren't just professional issues, they're deeply personal. They shape how we see ourselves and how we find meaning in our lives.
Tonight, we'll explore those four challenges together and ask an important question:
How do we reconnect with work that becomes love made visible, especially after loss has changed who we are?
Whether your work is raising a family, volunteering, creating art, caring for someone you love, building a business, or beginning again after unimaginable heartbreak, I hope tonight's conversation reminds you that your purpose isn't gone. Sometimes it's simply waiting to be rediscovered.
Thank you for joining me. I'm honored you're here.
Let's begin.

Hope In The Light of Suicide EP 220
Choose better during the hard times?
SHOW SYNOPSIS Good evening, everyone, and welcome to HOPE In The Light of Suicide.
I'm so grateful you've joined ...me tonight.
Last week, we began our journey through The Art and Science of Getting Happier: Build the Life You Want by Arthur C. Brooks and Oprah Winfrey. We talked about the idea that happiness isn't something that simply happens to us—it's something we can intentionally cultivate, even in the midst of life's greatest challenges.
As I shared with you last week, I recently came across something I hadn't seen in years—a home video from 2010 of Bobby gently caring for one of our baby chicks. It was such an unexpected gift. Seeing him smile, hearing his voice, and watching his kindness come alive again through that short video stirred so many emotions. There was sadness because I miss him deeply. There was gratitude for having that memory preserved. And there was joy in being reminded of the gentle, caring man he was.
That little video reminded me that our hearts are capable of holding more than one emotion at a time. We don't have to choose between grief and gratitude. We can miss someone with all our hearts and still smile because they were part of our lives.
Ironically, just a few days after finding that beautiful memory, I experienced one of the most trying weeks I've had in quite some time. I'll share more about that in a few moments because I think it's important to be honest about life's struggles. None of us are immune from difficult days, and learning to navigate them is part of being human.
Tonight, we'll continue with Chapter 3: Choose a Better Emotion.
We'll explore what it means to find reasons to be thankful, discover moments of laughter, choose hope when it would be easier to give in to discouragement, turn empathy into compassion, and ultimately discover that one of the surest paths toward greater happiness is helping make the world a little better for someone else.
These ideas don't ask us to ignore pain or pretend everything is fine. They invite us to recognize that while we can't always control what happens to us, we can influence where we gently guide our hearts and minds.
If there's one thing I've learned over the years since losing Bobby, it's that healing isn't about forgetting. It's about learning to carry love and loss together
What’s on your mind today?
It's about finding moments of light, even when life feels heavy.
Whether you're watching tonight because you're grieving, searching for hope, or simply looking for a little encouragement after a difficult week of your own, I hope you'll find something here that speaks to your heart.
Thank you for spending this time with me.
Let's begin.

Feel the Feel, Then Take the Wheel, Understanding Our Emotions After Loss
SHOW SYNOPSIS Last week, I introduced the book The Art and Science ...of Getting Happier: Build the Life You Want by Arthur C. Brooks and Oprah Winfrey. This week, I'd like to share how one chapter unexpectedly helped me understand something about myself.
Recently, I found myself having a complete meltdown over an experience with a cell phone company. It wasn't really about the phone. As I reflected on what happened, I realized my reaction was much bigger than the situation itself. It led me to ask an important question:
Why do I become so upset when people don't do their job, don't keep their word, or when I feel I've been lied to—even if it wasn't intentional?
After Bobby's suicide, I know grief changed me. Even ten years later, I experience some emotions more intensely than I did before. I don't think I'm alone in that, and tonight I'd like to explore why that might be.
We'll talk about Arthur Brooks' introduction to the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) and the four emotional profiles it describes. I'll share why I recognized myself as a "Mad Scientist" and how that insight has helped me better understand my own emotional patterns.
Most importantly, we'll explore the incredible gift of metacognition—our ability to step back, observe our thoughts and emotions, and choose how we respond instead of simply reacting.
Whether you're grieving, caring for someone who is, or simply trying to better understand yourself, I hope tonight's conversation offers insight, encouragement, and perhaps a new perspective on the emotions we all experience.
Bring your thoughts, your questions, and your experiences. As always, we'll learn from one another and continue finding hope—even in life's most difficult moments.

Grief and Gratitude
SHOW SYNOPSIS Good evening, everyone, and welcome to HOPE In The Light of Suicide.
I'm so glad you're here with me tonight.
Lately, ...I've been reading a book called The Art and Science of Getting Happier: Build the Life You Want, and it has challenged me to think deeply about one question:
Can we truly choose happiness and practice gratitude after the person we love dies by suicide?
For many suicide loss survivors, those words can feel impossible. Gratitude may even seem like a betrayal of our grief. When your heart has been shattered, it can be hard to imagine being thankful for anything. And yet, over time, I've discovered that gratitude isn't about pretending everything is okay or ignoring the pain. It's about learning that grief and gratitude can exist together.
I still grieve Bobby every single day. I always will. But I've also learned to be grateful—for the love we shared, for the people who have walked beside me, for the lessons that continue to emerge from heartbreak, and for the opportunity to help others find hope.
Tonight, we'll explore what science says about gratitude, what this fascinating book teaches about building a happier life, and how those ideas fit into the very real, very painful journey of surviving suicide loss. We'll talk honestly about what helps, what doesn't, and how gratitude is not the absence of grief—it can become a companion to it.
If you've ever wondered whether it's possible to carry profound sorrow while still experiencing moments of peace, purpose, and even joy, then I hope you'll stay with us.
Let's begin.

Hope In The Light of Suicide EP 217
Good evening, everyone, and welcome.
Tonight we're continuing to explore a beautiful meditation practice called Tonglen, often described as the practice of "giving and ...receiving." At first, the idea can sound surprising. We're invited to breathe in suffering and breathe out compassion. But Tonglen isn't about taking on someone else's pain. It's about opening our hearts instead of closing them.
So often, when we see someone hurting, we don't know what to say or do. We may even pull away because their pain reminds us of our own. Tonglen gently teaches us a different response—to stay present, to acknowledge suffering without fear, and to offer love, hope, and compassion in return.
For those of us who have experienced grief, trauma, or the loss of someone we love, this practice can be especially meaningful. It reminds us that our pain doesn't have to harden our hearts. It can deepen our capacity to understand others, to be kinder to ourselves, and to recognize that none of us walks through life's struggles alone.
Tonight we'll talk about what Tonglen Meditation is, where it comes from, and how this simple breathing practice can help us navigate grief, anxiety, and the everyday challenges of being human. Whether you've meditated for years or have never tried it before, I hope you'll discover a new perspective on compassion—one breath at a time.
Thank you for joining us. Let's begin.

Hope In The Light Of Suicide Episode 216
Last weekend, I had the privilege of presenting at the Rotary District 6950 Conference about something that has become deeply personal to me—and ...increasingly important to our communities.
Mental health isn't just a healthcare issue. It's a community issue. It's a family issue. It's a human issue.
Join us next Saturday evening as I share highlights from my presentation on the Rotary Action Group for Mental Health Initiatives and why Rotary clubs have a unique opportunity to help create communities where conversations replace stigma, compassion replaces silence, and hope becomes action.
We'll talk about:
• Why mental health belongs in community service.
• The power of asking one simple question: "How are you... Really?"
• How small conversations can make a life-changing difference.
• Practical ways Rotary clubs—and all of us—can help break the stigma surrounding mental health.
• Why we don't have to be mental health professionals to make a meaningful impact—we simply need to be willing to listen, connect, and care.
During my presentation, I shared that in 2024, our four-county Rotary district experienced 404 deaths by suicide. Behind every number is a family forever changed. My own family's journey began in 2016 with the loss of my husband, Bobby. That experience continues to fuel my commitment to ensuring others know they are not alone.
If you've ever wondered how one person can make a difference, or how your organization, church, business, or civic club can become part of the solution, I hope you'll join us.
Together, we'll explore how opening conversations can help save lives—because that's what hope in action looks like.
"When we open conversations, we save lives. That is service. That is hope."

Hope In The Light of Suicide EP 215
Good evening and welcome to HOPE In The Light Of Suicide.
Tonight, we're talking about something many of us know all too well—the waves ...of grief.
Grief is rarely a straight path. Just when we think we're finding our footing, a memory, a song, a date on the calendar, or even a familiar scent can bring a wave crashing over us. Some waves are gentle reminders of love. Others can feel overwhelming, pulling us back into the pain of loss.
Whether your loss happened recently or many years ago, grief doesn't operate on a timeline. It moves in its own rhythm, ebbing and flowing through our lives. The truth is, those waves don't mean we're moving backward. They are often reminders of the deep connections we shared with those we love and miss.
Tonight, we'll explore why these waves happen, how to navigate them when they arrive, and how we can learn to ride them with greater understanding, self-compassion, and hope.
If you've ever found yourself surprised by a sudden surge of sadness, longing, anger, or even gratitude, this conversation is for you.
Thank you for joining us. Let's spend this time together honoring our grief, our love, and the hope that helps carry us through the waves.

Good evening, and welcome to HOPE In The Light Of Suicide.
Tonight's show is a little different, but at its heart, it is still about love, loss, and learning how to ...carry grief.
Recently, I said goodbye to a very special friend—my neighbor's dog, Stella. For 12 1/2 years, Stella brought joy, comfort, companionship, and unconditional love to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Alongside her person, Cathy, Stella became part of my daily life and a steady presence through the unimaginable grief following Bobby's death. On the hardest days, her wagging tail, gentle spirit, and simple companionship reminded me that healing often comes through the quiet presence of those who stay close.
The loss of a beloved pet can be profound. Our companion animals witness our lives in ways few others do. They celebrate our routines, comfort our tears, sit beside us in silence, and love us without condition. When they die, the grief we experience is real, valid, and deserving of acknowledgment.
Tonight, I will share stories about Stella—what she meant to Cathy and me, the lessons she taught simply by being herself, and the impact she had on my journey through grief and healing.
I will also introduce you to a book that has offered comfort to many who are mourning the loss of a cherished animal companion: When Your Pet Dies: A Guide to Mourning, Remembering and Healing by Dr. Alan Wolfelt. Together, we'll explore his compassionate insights, including the Pet Lover's Code: Ten Inalienable Rights After the Death of a Special Companion Animal—a reminder that there is no right or wrong way to grieve, and that our love for our pets deserves to be honored.
If you have ever loved and lost a pet, tonight is for you. Whether your loss is recent or years old, may this conversation give you permission to remember, to mourn, to smile through the tears, and to recognize that grief is simply love that continues after loss.
Thank you for joining us as we honor Stella and all of the animals who have left paw prints on our hearts.
This is HOPE In The Light Of Suicide. I'm Tammy White, and tonight, we remember, we grieve, and together, we find hope.

June is Men's Health Month—a time dedicated to raising awareness about the unique health challenges men face and encouraging conversations that too often go unspoken.
Tonight, we'll explore what many experts ...call a silent epidemic. Across the world, men are less likely to seek help for physical health concerns, mental health struggles, grief, depression, and thoughts of suicide. Cultural expectations, stigma, and the pressure to "be strong" can leave many suffering in silence.
We'll take a closer look at the focus of Men's Health Month, why early intervention matters, and how different countries and cultures approach men's health and wellness. While the challenges may vary around the globe, one message remains universal: health includes both body and mind, and no one should have to face life's struggles alone.
Whether you're a man navigating your own health journey, someone who loves and supports the men in your life, or simply someone who believes in building stronger, healthier communities, this conversation is for you.
Join us as we shine a light on an issue that affects families, friendships, and communities everywhere. Because awareness can save lives, and sometimes the most important step is simply starting the conversation.Show More

Just say no! Good evening, everyone, and welcome. Tonight's topic is ...
Just say no!
Good evening, everyone, and welcome.
Tonight's topic is simple, but for many of us, it can be one of the hardest things we'll ever learn to do: Just Say ...No.
No to people who drain our energy.
No to relationships that bring more pain than peace.
No to situations that compromise our well-being.
And no to expectations that others place on us during some of the most difficult seasons of our lives.
When we're grieving, healing, or simply trying to rebuild after loss, there is often pressure from others. Pressure to move on. Pressure to participate. Pressure to be who we used to be. Sometimes that pressure comes from well-meaning family and friends. Sometimes it comes from society. And sometimes it comes from ourselves.
But the truth is, your journey is your own.
No one else fully understands your grief. No one else knows the battles you've fought, the tears you've shed, or the strength it took to get where you are today. Because of that, you have every right to set boundaries that protect your heart, your peace, and your healing.
Sometimes saying no means declining an invitation because you're simply not ready. Sometimes it means stepping away from a circumstance that doesn't feel right. And sometimes it means releasing people from your life who continually bring negativity, disrespect, or harm.
Saying no isn't selfish. It's often an act of self-reservation and self-respect.
Tonight, we'll talk about why it's okay to honor your own timeline, trust your instincts, and give yourself permission to choose what is best for your well-being—even when others don't understand.
Because healing isn't about meeting someone else's expectations.
It's about finding your own path forward, one honest decision at a time.

This evening, we'll be having a heartfelt conversation about a type of grief many people quietly carry — when multiple losses happen one after another, each for different reasons, leaving ...little time to breathe, process, or heal.
We'll also talk about how a previous suicide loss can make new grief feel especially heavy, even years later. Sometimes a recent death, tragedy, or unexpected loss can reopen old wounds and emotions we thought we had learned to live beside.
Grief does not follow a timeline, and healing is not linear.
Together, we'll explore the layers of cumulative grief, trauma, remembrance, and hope — while honoring the reality that every loss touches us differently.
If you or someone you love has experienced loss, especially after surviving the suicide of a loved one, we hope this conversation reminds you that you are not alone.

Nature and Mental Health
Good evening, everyone, and welcome to Hope in the Light.
Tonight, we're exploring the powerful connection between mental health and nature—how something as simple as stepping outside, breathing ...fresh air, and walking beneath the trees can help calm our minds, ease stress, and remind us that healing often happens one step at a time.
We're especially excited to feature the reopening of the Sasquatch Trail at Starkey Wilderness Park, a meaningful community project sponsored by NAMI Pasco. This trail is more than just a path through the woods—it's an invitation to reconnect with ourselves, with others, and with the natural world around us.
Throughout tonight's program, we'll share photos and stories from the trail, discuss the mental health benefits of spending time in nature, and reflect on how parks, trails, and outdoor spaces can become places of hope, healing, and renewal.
Whether you're joining us from home, watching with loved ones, or finding your own path through grief, loss, or life's challenges, we're glad you're here.
So settle in, and join us as we discover how nature can help light the way toward hope, one trail at a time. 🌲

Healing and Reconciliation
Good evening, and welcome to Hope in the Light of Suicide. We're grateful you're here with us tonight.
This week's episode is centered on community, healing, and the ...reminder that hope can still exist even in life's darkest moments. I'll be sharing photos from Pasco County Parks and Recreation's 5th Annual Stomp Out Suicide event, beautifully captured by Mike Camunas. These images reflect the strength of people coming together to raise awareness, support one another, and remind those who are struggling that they are not alone.
We'll also be concluding our journey through the powerful book When Your Soulmate Dies by Alan Wolfelt with Chapters Nine and Ten: Receive Ongoing Support From Others and Reaching the Goal of Your Quest — Reconciliation. Together, we'll explore what it means to continue forward while carrying love, loss, memory, and meaning all at once.
Healing does not mean forgetting. Reconciliation does not mean the pain disappears. It means learning how to live with grief while still allowing yourself moments of connection, purpose, and even hope again.
Thank you for spending this time with us. Whether you are grieving, supporting someone you love, or simply listening with an open heart, we hope tonight's conversation reminds you that healing happens best when we walk together.

Finding Meaning Good evening, everyone, and welcome back to Hope in ...
Finding Meaning
Good evening, everyone, and welcome back to Hope in the Light of Suicide. After taking a brief pause last week for some much-needed self-care and reflection, we are grateful ...to be back with you tonight. Sometimes healing also means allowing ourselves space to rest, breathe, and simply be—and we appreciate your continued support and understanding.
Tonight, we continue our journey through When Your Soulmate Dies by Alan Wolfelt as we move into Chapter 8: Searching for Meaning. One of the hardest parts of grief is trying to understand how life moves forward after a profound loss. This chapter gently explores the questions many grieving hearts carry: How do we make sense of what happened? How do we rediscover purpose? And how do we continue loving someone who is no longer physically here while learning to live ourselves again?
We also want to remind our listeners that you are never alone in this journey. Our support groups continue to offer a safe space for connection, conversation, and healing. Whether your loss is recent or years old, there is comfort in being surrounded by others who truly understand.
And as we recognize Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to thank everyone who participated in Pasco County Parks and Rec Stomp Out Suicide Run/Walk this past weekend. Events like these help break the silence surrounding mental health and suicide prevention while reminding our community that hope, awareness, and support save lives.
Throughout the month, Pasco County Parks and Rec will continue hosting events focused on mental health awareness, connection, and community support. We encourage everyone to take part, check in on one another, and continue having the conversations that matter.
Thank you for spending your evening with us. We hope tonight's discussion brings comfort, insight, and a reminder that even in grief, healing and meaning can still be found.

Welcome back to Hope In The Light of Suicide.
Last week, we spent time in Chapter 6: Remember Your Soulmate from When Your Soulmate Dies by Alan Wolfelt. We talked about ...the importance of remembering... of honoring the life, the love, and the connection that doesn't end just because someone is no longer physically here.
And as often happens in grief... that conversation opened the door to something deeper.
We ran out of time before we could move into the next chapter — but in many ways, it's a natural continuation of what we began.
Because once we learn how to carry our person with us... the question becomes:
And for me, even ten years later, there are still quiet moments when I find myself missing who I was with Bobby... the "us" that shaped so much of my identity.
Who are we now?
Tonight, we begin Chapter 7: Develop a New Self-Identity.
And this can feel like one of the most disorienting parts of grief.
When you lose your soulmate, you don't just lose a person — you lose the version of yourself that existed with them. The roles you held, the routines you shared, the future you imagined... all of it shifts.
So how do you begin to rebuild?
How do you rediscover yourself... without feeling like you're leaving them behind?
That's what we're going to gently explore tonight.
Not with pressure. Not with expectations. But with compassion for wherever you are in your journey.
Because developing a new self-identity isn't about forgetting your past... it's about learning how to carry that love forward as you continue to live.
I'm so glad you're here.

After taking time to pause... to remember... and to mark a deeply ...
After taking time to pause... to remember... and to mark a deeply personal milestone — ten years since Bobby's death — we come back to this space with full hearts.
This ...past week wasn't about moving forward. It was about looking back... honoring a life... and tending to love that never leaves. Bobby's sister Mary and I continued a tradition that has become sacred to us — renewing his memorial garden. Hands in the soil, remembering, reflecting... and staying connected in a way that words alone can't always hold.
Grief changes over time, but love doesn't. And tonight, we gently step back into the work of healing.
We continue our journey through When Your Soulmate Dies by Alan Wolfelt — a guide that meets us in the depth of loss and helps us find our way forward with intention and compassion.
We'll be exploring Chapter 6: Remember Your Soulmate — because remembrance isn't about staying stuck... it's about carrying love forward in meaningful ways.
And Chapter 7: Develop a New Self-Identity — one of the hardest and most profound parts of grief. Who are we now? And how do we begin to rebuild a life that honors both who we were... and who we are becoming?
If you're walking this path, know this: you don't have to rush. You don't have to have it all figured out. Healing isn't about letting go — it's about learning how to hold on... differently.
I'm so glad you're here with us tonight.

"A decade without him... and not a single day goes by that Bobby isn't part of my life."
This week's episode is one that comes straight from the heart.
It's hard to ...believe that it has been 10 years since we lost Bobby. Ten years since our world changed forever. Ten years of learning how to carry love, grief, and memory side by side.
Bobby was more than a husband, a brother, a friend—he was a light. A presence. A soul that left a lasting imprint on everyone who knew him. And while his absence is something we feel every single day, so is his love.
In honor of this 10-year anniversary, I'm joined by someone incredibly special—Bobby's sister, Mary Keane.
Together, we reflect on Bobby's life, the bond they shared, and what it means to grieve, to heal, and to keep someone's spirit alive in the most meaningful ways. This conversation is raw, honest, and filled with love.
If you've ever lost someone, if you're walking your own grief journey, or if you're learning how to support someone who is—this episode is for you.
Tonight, we honor Bobby. We remember him. And we remind ourselves that love never leaves—it simply changes form.
